One question I get when developing clients sites is “can we put more information in our menus?” Some clients and projects need more than one word descriptions of pages. Sometimes I need to create menus that not only had graphic elements incorporated, but also descriptions and calls to action to improve the quality of each session.

I looked at the CodeCanyon Marketplace and found a few plugins that did exactly what I wanted to accomplish. After reading some reviews and seeing the demo in action, I decided to check out UberMenu plugin. I used the plugin on my dev site and  I had to do some modifications to my style.css and header file to get the plugin to work, but the help files clearly outlined the steps I needed to take since my theme had some conflicts. I ended up using CSS Edit to style the menu on my own, but UberMenu came with plenty of pre-made styles to choose from. A small investment of $14 was well worth the results, and I plan to sell Ubermenu with many of my future projects.
