Well, it’s finally done! Our little master bathroom and closet have been completely remodeled and now they really match the rest of our home. When we moved in, we had a tiny 5x10ft. bathroom with a fiberglass shower, a toilet, and a small vanity with absolutely no storage space. The closet was a walk-in, but only one person could fit in at a time. Needless to say, we were ready for a change!

Scotia and I did all the demolition, including knocking down the walls, cutting the floor for the new plumbing, and pouring the new concrete slab after the plumbing was done. We used a general contractor who my parents have used in the past, Manuel Perez, from Palm Dessert. For the bathroom, we wanted a large tile shower with a neo angle and heavy glass walls, plenty of storage, tile floors, a mirror wall, and a big entryway. For the closet, we wanted mirrored sliding doors.

Weeks passed and we certainly had our share of surprises along the the way, but I’m happy to say we are finally enjoying our new bathroom and closet after nearly 2 months. Check out the before and after photos of the project. Next project on the docket… the back yard.
