On July 7th, we headed to New Jersey to visit Scotia's grandma (Nana) whom I've never met. Unfortunately, she is on oxygen and is unable to travel so I didn't get a chance to meet her last year at our wedding in New Orleans.
This last weekend while in Berkley for my cousins wedding we revisited the Cornerstone Gardens in Sonoma. It's been a few years since I had last visited the gardens and was a bit disappointed that the general upkeep of the gardens wasn't what it used to be.
This Memorial day we decided to take a trip to Joshua Tree National Park. Admission to all National Parks was free. Turns out a few days are free every year. Scotia and I had been wanting to go back since I proposed to her there a little over a year ago.
Well it's been a very busy summer! First things first, took a road trip across the US to New Orleans with the kids. Had some amazing food and saw many exciting places along the way.
Well it proves to be a very busy year. New car, planning a wedding with Scotia and what the heck lets though in buy a house. Well it was in the works for some time after we moved from San Francisco. We decided to rent temporarily in Riverside until we found somewhere we both really loved.
On a random drive through Napa the kids and I found the Cornerstone Festival of Gardens in Napa Valley. The gardens are beautiful and they have many interesting installations but this one, "The Photoshop Tree" I though was particularly interesting.
